Week 11:

This week we received and installed our appliances, counter tops, sinks and cabinets. The kitchen is now ready for the last few pieces of trim and a final point-up and paint touch-up.

Outside, we parged our newly built retaining wall as well as the front porch in order to give the concrete a more classic look that is fitting with the historic district of downtown.

Now, we're ready to landscape the flower beds and re-seed the disrupted ground in the yard and around the sidewalk.

Week 3:

Due to the change we made the first week of construction to the doorway between the kitchen and dining room, we had the framers install 2 steel columns in the crawl space . (Shown to your left is one of the two columns that was installed)

The framers also removed the turn-post that was installed by the previous construction company (the turn-post was used to support the bathroom floor) with a double joist. This allows us to take full advantage of the original staircase and open banister/railing design.
